Computer Graphics Seminar Series
Computer Graphics Group, Victoria University of Wellington
The Computer Graphics academic and research units within the Faculty of Engineering at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington have combined forces to present an array of seminars to celebrate 10 years of Computer Graphics at the University, as well as to promote the newest iteration of the degree programme: Computer Graphics and Games.
Computer Graphics and Games degree programme
Modern film, television, and games all use similar underlying technology. Learning to create visually appealing interactive media requires both an understanding of how humans see the world and the computer programming that creates these virtual environments. When you study for a Bachelor of Science in Computer Graphics and Games you'll learn about game techniques, visual computing, and innovation and develop the practical skills to create new kinds of software and visual experiences. Build games, graphics, and visual effects using algorithms, programming and maths, and learn game design practice and theory.
Computational Media Innovation Centre (CMIC)
The Computational Media Innovation Centre (CMIC) aims to develop the next generation research framework that combines immersive, interactive, intelligent (3i) media technologies into future media platforms. CMIC engages in collaborative research projects to advance the state-of-the-art 3i media technologies, develops unique intellectual property, and establishes case-studies with industry collaborators to implement and to evaluate an impact pathway to connect research to industry.
