🪄 Outline
Discussion
Flow chemistry provides unique advantages in organic synthesis, including allowing for greener or more atom-efficient routes, safer reaction setups, or enhanced product scaling.
This SynOpen Cheminar will explore a variety of topics in synthetic flow chemistry, with great speakers from institutes around the world.
Recent Applications of Flow-Photochemistry for the Generation of Reactive Intermediates
Marcus Baumann
University College Dublin
This talk will highlight some recent studies exploiting flow-based photochemistry for the generation of complex carbo- and heterocyclic products via in situ generated reactive intermediates. The resulting flow processes demonstrate how new reactions can be discovered, including the exploitation of scalability and scope to afford important insights into new reactivity patterns.
