In this new session, Camillo De Lellis will interview Nicola Gigli about his personal journey out and in mathematics, how he came to choose the topics of his research and why he is excited about them. During the conversation the speakers will explain the connection between the concepts of optimal transport and curvature of a space, a discovery which has given birth to a new, fast growing research field, at the intersection of several areas of mathematics.
