ARM (United Kingdom)

Arm-based systems are being deployed in Infrastructure (networking, cloud, 5G). The motivation often comes from the need to customise silicon to a particular domain or purpose. This customisation creates are conflict between the need to define functionality in software, so that it can be changed, and in hardware, so that it can be specialised and optimised. This talk will cover how these challenges are currently being addressed, and opportunities for future research directions.
