By 2018, tuition was close to 40,000.Ifitcontinuedatthatrate,by2030itwouldreach60,000. This would mean a doubling of tuition in less than 20 years, which is not sustainable. This is especially concerning given the disconnect between tuition costs and wages in Lebanon. For example, in 2009 when we started the study, the minimum wage in Lebanon was only 400permonthandthemedianwagewas1300 per month.
