The Physics of Flowing Emulsions in Wall-Bounded Turbulence

We will now increase the volume fraction from 1% to 40% to study global transport and drop size. Once again, the oil phase is the dispersed phase. The volume fractions we will be using are 1%, 10%, and 30%. Despite the difficulty and challenges in obtaining droplet size measurements, we have made our best efforts. Our findings show that the droplet size does not change significantly. Within the margin of error in our measurements, we observe that the droplet size remains relatively consistent regardless of the volume fraction.
