ORCID (ORCID Sponsored Session)
More than an identifier, ORCID collects data about research activities from researchers in all disciplines and from around the world. Examples of this data include funding, publications, employment, research instrument usage and more. You can use this data in your research analytics work to help understand and share what is happening at your campus, in a specific discipline or region.
In this workshop you will learn how to get data from ORCID’s registry, write data to ORCID records and synchronize your system, so your local dataset is updated immediately.
We will also review the current ORCID requirements from the US Federal funding agencies, and discuss how you can check the ORCID records of your researchers to ensure they have the best data in their ORCID records, which will then be submitted to the Federal Funding agencies.
