Lived Places Publishing

Lived Places Publishing (LPP) invites you to a series of seminars with various invited guests talking about current issues in Education Studies.

Education — the interchange of teaching and learning — is one of the most universal and perpetual of human experiences. At the same time, it is infinitely variable. Education takes place everywhere and anywhere: In school or at work, in a gym or a senior center, in a community meeting or a book club. Anywhere that education happens, identities are shaped, transformed, and re-imagined. The Education Studies collection represents the intertwining of educational spaces and practices with diverse social identities, through the stories of the participants who create those spaces and identities: students, teachers, workers, parents, among others.

For this seminar series, authors of books in the Education Studies collection discuss the key issues they examine in their books – providing personal insights and experiences that illuminate their own learning about their book topics.

About the Education Studies Collection and Lived Places Publishing

At Lived Places Publishing we publish course readings that focus on lived experiences in the context of place. We provide an ever-growing list of interdisciplinary and subject-based collections in topics across academic curriculum – such as Black Studies, Gender Studies, Disability Studies, and Queer and LGBT+ Studies. Our hope is our books will help educators introduce a topic and engage students through stories, multiple voices, and the experiences of people around the world.
