Consumers evaluate brands not only by product quality but also ethical behavior. This research examines how political ideology influences consumer responses to brand moral transgressions. Across six studies, liberals (vs. conservatives) hold brands more accountable, attributing greater responsibility and forming harsher evaluations, with firm size and anthropomorphism moderating this effect.
